Using your Deskphone to Transfer a Call
Transferring a Call using a Yealink desk phone.
If you have a different brand or model phone from the one shown in the images, the process should be similar with the keys displaying the same labels.
Note: A Blind Transfer is a transfer that sends the call to another party without calling them first. By comparison, an attended transfer allows you to call the other party first, talk to the new party while the original call is on hold, and then merge the calls if desired.
BLF Transfer Method
If your phone is equipped with BLF (or 1-touch) keys located to either side of the display, you can use this method to transfer a call to any party assigned to that key.
Note: BLF keys can be set to Blind or Attended transfers. You can contact your account administrator or
support@synfone.net for clarification or required changes to your setup.
- While on an active call
- Press the BLF (or 1-touch) key labeled for the party you with to transfer the call to
- If the BLF key is setup for an Attended transfer, wait for the party to answer, confirm the call should be transferred, and then hang up the call to complete the transfer which will merge the two parties.
Blind Transfer Method
- While on a call.
- Press the "Tran" soft key to start the blind transfer procedure.
- Dial the extension number of the person you would like to transfer the call to.
- Press "Tran" to complete the procedure.

Attended Transfer Method
- Press the "Tran" soft key to start the attended transfer procedure. This will automatically put the caller on hold.
- Dial the extension number of the person you would like to transfer the call to.
- Press "OK" to call.
- The transfer recipient answers and accepts to take the call.
- Press the "Tran" soft key to transfer the call.
- The original caller and the transfer recipient are now connected.
